The image of Christ Pantocrator was the first image of Christ which was ever made and it remains a central icon of the Eastern Orthodox church.
The picture shows us Christ as a teacher giving us the word of God.

This painting portrays Mother Mary as a young jewish woman. Her right hand points to her heart which symbolises guidance towards her son, Jesus. Our Lady's left hand gives her blessing to all her children.
